Florida Mall Shooting: Bystander Holds Key Evidence, Police Say
During the holiday shopping rush at Florida’s Paddock Mall, a targeted shooting claimed one life and left another injured. The suspect, Albert J. Shell Jr., is sought on charges of premeditated first-degree murder.
The victim, David Nathaniel Barron, was found dead at the scene. A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Police are also seeking a bystander who took the suspect’s red hat, potential evidence.
Urging its return, authorities stated failure to comply would lead to the individual’s arrest on a felony charge of tampering with evidence. The mall, evacuated during the incident, will remain closed on Sunday and Monday. The shooting has deeply impacted holiday shoppers, with the community reeling from the tragic event.
